NOTICE OF GENERAL AUDITION

Alberta Theatre Projects is holding general auditions on Monday March 31 (noon – 8pm) and Tuesday, April 1 (10am – 6pm) in Calgary.

The purpose of the audition is to see people whose work is not known to the ATP artistic staff.  Due to the number of requests, if you auditioned for us recently or if your work is often seen on Calgary stages, you are unlikely to get a spot.

• General auditions are by invitation only.
• Please send your resume, photograph and a covering letter expressing your interest in working at ATP.
• Bookings will not be accepted over the phone.

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF RESUMES IS MONDAY March 17, 2008.

Only those candidates who are invited to audition will be contacted to set up an audition time.

As of March 17, 2008 the scripts for the upcoming season will be available for reading at reception.  If possible, actors are encouraged to read the plays before their audition to see what parts they’d be interested in playing.

THE AUDITION ITSELF

• Is 15 minutes long and includes an interview.
• Please prepare two contrasting monologues from the contemporary repertoire, lasting no more than five minutes in total.  At least one should be Canadian.
• Invited candidates will be auditioning for some combination of the following artistic staff:  Bob White, Dianne Goodman, Vicki Stroich and Amy Lynn Strilchuk.
