Réjean is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and is happy to be making his Alberta Theatre Projects debut.  Past stage credits include Sweeney in Sweeney Todd (Citadel Theatre; Sterling Nomination), Javert in Les Miserables (Arts Club Theatre; Jessie Nomination), Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Citadel Theatre/Theatre Calgary), Mitch in Tuesdays with Morrie (4X City National tour), Saint Carmen of the Main and Nativity: A Coyote’s Christmas (National Arts Centre); Orin in Little Shop of Horrors (Canadian Stage), and Pélagie (Canadian Stage, Dora Nomination).  Selected film and TV credits include Wedding March, October 1970, Baby, Rideau Hall and The Event for which he won a 2003 ACTRA Award for Outstanding Male Performance. He holds a degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University.



Brad_Fraser Brad Fraser – Playwright

Brad Fraser was born in Edmonton, Alberta and is a leading international playwright. Two of his plays, Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love and Poor Super Man were recognized by Time Magazine as top ten plays of their premiere years. Other selected works include Martin Yesterday, Snake in Fridge, Outrageous, Cold Meat Party, Mutants, Wolfboy, Rude Noises, Chainsaw Love, Return of the Bride, The Ugly Man, Prom Night of the Living Dead, and his latest work Pretty Dead Girl. Brad’s work has been presented by top Canadian theatre companies as well as international theatre companies, such as The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, England. Film and television credits include Love and Human Remains and three seasons as a supervising producer and writer for Queer As Folk. He has won numerous awards including The London Evening Standard Award, The L.A. Critics Award and The Dora Mavor Moore Award. As a television host, an actor, interviewer or teacher, Dave Kelly has been in front of an audience almost every day for the past 20 years. As an award winning television host he has interviewed over 25,000 people from presidents to moms. As a live event host and actor he has worked around the world – but you might have seen him right there in Calgary as The Cat In The Hat for Alberta Theatre Projects, in Wanda’s Visit for Lunchbox Theatre, and hosting Cowboy Up and The Rangeland Derby at the Calgary Stampede.





Sarah_Koury Sarah Koury Madison

As a recent graduate of the University of Victoria's Acting Program, Sarah is thrilled to be taking her first step into the professional world with such an admirable company and cast. "If this were played upon a stage right now, I could condemn it as an improbable fiction." – Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.  Previous credits include Twelfth Night, Yerma, Romeo and Juliet and Medea (Phoenix Theatre). She also appeared in the 2010 International Victoria Fringe Festival in the production of Dog Sees God.




  
Amy_Lippold Amy Lippold – Stage Manager

Amy is thrilled, as always, to be back home at Alberta Theatre Projects.  Favourite credits include: Stage Manager: Seussical™ the Musical, The Penelopiad, Shakespeare's Dog, Toad of Toad Hall, Robin Hood, Unity (1918), The Drowning Girls  (Alberta Theatre Projects), Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Evelyn Strange (Vertigo Theatre), Evil Dead: The Musical (Ground Zero Theatre/Hit & Myth), Princess of the Stars (Patria Opera), Cosi Fan Tutte, La Tragedie de Carmen, Phaedra/Dido & Aeneas (The Banff Centre), Little Mercy's First Murder (Ground Zero Theatre), Bat Boy the Musical (Mob Hit Productions). As ASM: The Full Monty, Urinetown The Musical (Ground Zero Theatre/Hit & Myth), Peter Pan, Stones in His Pockets, 2 Pianos 4 Hands (Alberta Theatre Projects), Filumena (Banff Centre & Edmonton Opera) and multiple shows over the last 6 seasons at Calgary Opera.  Amy will be back shortly to stage manage The Wizard of Oz, The Musical!  She would also like to thank the amazingly wonderful folks at Alberta Theatre Projects and Brett...for all his love and support!



Peter_Moller Peter Moller – Sound Design & Composition

Peter Moller is a Calgary-based musician/designer/performer. He has run Egg Press Co., a graphic and sound design establishment, from the dawn of time. Peter is the recipient of a number of Betty Mitchell (Calgary) and Elizabeth Sterling Haynes (Edmonton) awards and nominations for his theatre sound designs. Recent sound designs: Heartbreaker and Nisei Blue for Alberta Theatre Projects; If You Give A Mouse A Cookie for Winnipeg’s Manitoba Theatre for Young People; Richard III, Macbeth and The Queens for The Shakespeare Company; And So It Goes and Goodness for Downstage Theatre; Ruined for the Ellipsis Tree Collective; Acres of Dreams (as musician) with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo; and Hunchback (as musician) for Edmonton’s Catalyst Theatre. Kate_Newby Kate Newby – Director

Directing credits include: Twelve Angry Men for Vertigo Theatre; Tornado Magnet and Office Hours for Lunchbox Theatre; Lion in the Streets for Sage Theatre; How Do I Love Thee? and The Goat or Who is Sylvia? for Alberta Theatre Projects; and CRAVE for Blacklist Theatre Project. Selected acting credits include: Regina in Counsellor at Law, Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Amanda in Private Lives for Theatre Calgary; Louise in August, Harper in Angels in America Parts I and II for Alberta Theatre Projects; Lottie in The Ugly Man for Workshop West Theatre; and Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac for the Citadel Theatre. Kate has received Betty Mitchell Awards for Outstanding Direction for Sage Theatre’s Lion in the Streets and Outstanding Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Louise in Alberta Theatre Projects’ August.

After concluding a critically acclaimed run of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? opposite Academy-Award nominee Meg Tilly with Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre, Alexander is thrilled to be back in his hometown making his Alberta Theatre Projects debut with True Love Lies. A recent graduate of the University of Victoria's theatre acting program, Alexander's previous credits include: A Streetcar Named Desire and As You Like It (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre), the North American premiere of Pornography by Simon Stephens (Theatre Inconnu), the world premiere of Inside by Daniel MacIvor, Yerma, Wreckage, Romeo and Juliet (Phoenix Theatre), New Canadian Kid, SAVAGE, Tales of the Unexpected (UVic Student Alternative Theatre Company), Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, and BOYGIRL (Victoria Fringe Festival). Thank you to Alberta Theatre Projects and Kate for this fantastic opportunity.



Scott_Reid Scott Reid – Lighting Design

Heather_Rycraft Heather Rycraft – Assistant Stage Manager

Heather is excited to be back at Alberta Theatre Projects. Previous work with Alberta Theatre Projects includes The Penelopiad, Communion, and the Enbridge playRites Festival ’09, ’10, and ’11. Other ASM credits include Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, And Then There Were None, The 39 Steps, Murder on the Nile, Blood Relations, Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, and The Mousetrap (Vertigo Mystery Theatre). Heather apprenticed with Theatre Calgary (The Wars), Vertigo Mystery Theatre (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Vancouver Opera (Fidelio), Pacific Opera Victoria (Regina), The Banff Centre (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Alberta Theatre Projects (East of Berlin). Heather is a graduate of the University of Victoria’s theatre program.



Roger_Schultz Roger Schultz – Set/Props/Costume Design

Roger is very pleased to return to Alberta Theatre Projects having previously designed set and costumes for Toad of Toad Hall, The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, Unity (1918) and costumes for Oliver – A Street Boy’s Progress. He is a busy designer recently relocated to Lethbridge, where he instructs design related courses at the University there.  He has designed for many theatres including: The Globe Theatre, Theatre Network, Red Deer College, Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Keyano Theatre and Prairie Theatre Exchange.  Among his favourite designs are The Seagull, The Alice Nocturne, The Flyfisher’s Companion, Little Shop of Horrors, The Girl In The Goldfish Bowl, The Leisure Society, Hosanna, A Skull in Connemara and Hedwig and The Angry Inch. Though he has a single, lonely Dora Award nomination from oh so long ago, he does (finally) have a Betty Award nomination and multiple Sterling Award nominations and wins to compensate.

Barbara was last seen at Alberta Theatre Projects in Proof and she is delighted to be back for True Love Lies. Other stage credits include Evelyn Strange (Vertigo Theatre), An Ideal Husband, Our Town, Dracula, Rough Crossing (Theatre Calgary), Mr. Fix It, The Complete Works of Lunchbox Theatre, The Exquisite Hour (Lunchbox Theatre), I Love Mondays (Ghost River Theatre), Move Over Mrs. Markham, Not Now Darling (Stage West), They Came from Mars, A Farndale Christmas Carol (Pleiades Theatre), The Pain Diaries (Calgary Health Trust), The Oculist’s Holiday, Fever-Land, Cocktails at Pam’s (Teatro la Quindicina), and Beyond Therapy (Theatre Junction). She is a two time Betty Mitchell, and one time Sterling award nominee. Film and TV credits include The 19th Wife, Heartland, Burn Up, September Dawn and Boot Camp. Barb will appear later this season at Vertigo Mystery Theatre in Blithe Spirit
